Why did you need funding?

The restaurant industry is competitive, and expensive. When we had to shut down because of Covid, Cambridge helped us get back on our feet and saved my business.

Why did you need funding?

As you know, the restaurant industry took a huge hit during the pandemic. On a normal month before the pandemic I was bringing in $53K per month, and it plummeted to $2K by June in 2020. I was really on thin ice and I saw no way out. I needed the funding to keep my business, and my livelihood, open.

What was the process like to get the funding?

Oh, super easy. Way easier than a bank. I just did the application and got approved practically instantly, then started speaking with a representative, I think her name was Janelle. Janelle set me up with the funds by the next morning.

What did you use the funds for, exactly?

Paying the bills and paying my employees. We had to cut a lot of staff because the restaurant couldn’t accept dine-in customers, although we tried to keep most of them on for when we could open again. 

Did the funding help you meet your goals?

Yep, it sure did. I managed to keep most of my staff on board and my bills were never late.

How is your restaurant doing now?

We’re doing great! Those were definitely some hard times, like they were for everyone. But since we got the help from Cambridge, I’m happy to say my business is still alive and thriving.

What’s your favorite thing about Cambridge Funding?

I love how simple it is to use. Small business owners out there don’t realize that there is help available, and it’s not difficult to get. Cambridge makes fund-raising totally smooth and easy.

Would you ever use Cambridge Funding again?

Without a doubt. I hope to high heavens I’ll never be in that dire of a situation again, but I know that if I was, Cambridge would bail me out.
